International Symposium on Infections and Vaccines

The International Symposium on Infections and Vaccines 2014(ISIV2014), a sub-forum of the International Symposium on Clinical and Translational Medicine 2014(ISCTM2014), will be held in Shanghai, China. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased and honored to invite you to participate this big event during May 28-30, 2014.

In recent years, novel vaccine technologies have rapid evolved and new vaccine products are emerging at an unprecedented pace. Despite the successes of vaccines development in the past, we are still facing threats from emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Since the 1970s, more than 40 infectious diseases have emerged or reemerged as thread to public health. Understanding the pathogenesis of these infectious diseases is one of the topics to be discussed in this symposium. This basic knowledge will help us to develop more effective vaccines and preventive measures. The symposium provides a platform to discuss how to bring a basic research project upto translational level, to bridge the gaps, to share ideas and most importantly to build international cooperation.
