Emerging Microbes and Infections (EMI) has been accepted for inclusion in PubMed Central (PMC). EMI has been already indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar.
PMC is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM). In keeping with NLM’s legislative mandate to collect and preserve the biomedical literature, PMC serves as a digital counterpart to NLM’s extensive print journal collection. Launched in February 2000, PMC was developed and is managed by NLM’s National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Till now there have been 2.6 million articles are archived in PMC.
Starting in January 2013, Emerging Microbes and Infections (EMI) has been indexed in SCOUPS.
Scopus, officially named SciVerse Scopus, is a bibliographic database containing abstracts and citations for articles from academic journal. It covers nearly 19,500 titles from over 5,000 international publishers, of which 16,500 are peer-reviewed journals in the scientific, technical, medical, and social sciences (including arts and humanities). It is owned by Elsevier and is available online by subscription. Searches in Scopus incorporate scientific web pages through Scirus, another Elsevier product, as well as patent databases.
