EMI Reports Strong Q2 2026 Article Downloads as Global Impact Remains High

Emerging Microbes & Infections (EMI) has officially released its quarterly article download figures for the second quarter of 2026. The journal recorded 403,446 article downloads during Q2 2026, demonstrating strong quarter-over-quarter growth and highlighting sustained, high-level global academic interest in emerging infectious disease research.

Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) Expansion: Article downloads grew by 10.29% in Q2 2026 compared to Q1 2026 (365,808 downloads), gaining an additional 37,638 downloads over the three-month period.
First Half (H1) 2026 Performance: Total downloads for the first half of 2026 reached 769,254, exceeding the H1 totals recorded in both 2023 (661,512) and 2024 (733,986).
Multi-Year Baseline Growth: Compared to pre-2025 baseline figures, Q2 2026 downloads represent a 9.32% increase over Q2 2024 (369,058) and a 24.94% increase over Q2 2023 (322,907).
